A massive 20-foot-wide by 10-foot-high ceramic plate installation transforming a historic design into a feminist retelling of history. Inspired by a Christopher Dresser design, TRUTH, BEAUTY and POWER uses gold luster and decorative language, scale and color to transform and question historic hierarchies and space in design and fine art.
By claiming space in the story of design and interrupting perceptions, this monumental installation claims space for women in the history of design and questions belonging.
